Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to score a 10 for competing in the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi, an Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became the coach for Comaneci who first came across Comaneci at the age of six. The first time she competed at the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She was the winner in 1970. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries junior athletes before the Olympics she took home 3 gold and silver medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she won the junior champion in all aspects. In her first senior competition in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champ winning four golds and a silver. The first female to perform the reverse double salo of the bar with a parallel surface in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began as an entertainment professional during her teenage years, when she performed as a figure skating duo with the sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her career in the world of entertainment in her teens. She began her career as figure skater performing with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
