The date of her birth is March 29th, 1985 in Roswell in New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza was her birth name. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico to Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. She is American and is of Mexican American heritage. The desire to be a sportsperson began as a small child. Gerina began to play golf at the age of fifteen. Gerina attended Goddard High School for her high school education. In high school, she won her first prize at the New Mexico golf state tournament. She also had her volleyball skills acknowledged at the national stage. She went to an institution called the University of Texas in 2003. In her senior year, she won every tournament she took part in. In the course of her undergraduate studies she was awarded the title as Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the Year.
